Depends on what you use it for and how much you need it. Similar model sitting in the shed in pieces. Low grade Tange tube on mine, not worth it for me personally.

If you have bits n pieces lying around that will get it running without spending too much then go for it. I wouldnt be throwing too much cash at it though.

I finally got around to taking a photo of my Peugeot.

This bike was given to me by a mate at BHP in the mid 90's. I stripped all the knackered Simplex gear and rusty steel bits off and had it re-sprayed... and then it sat there for years....
It is an odd frame, has Nervex lugs, had the 'Peugeot's Own Steel' sticker, crappy seamed forks but 'proper' pump pegs. Does not seem to line up with any models in the catalogs but the transfer style and frame number dated it to late 70's early 80's.
Came with Simplex 10 speed base range gear and steel rims on Normandy H/F alloy hubs
Well I was finally spurred into action by a great offer on single speed wheels on e-bay, junked the crap forks for a pair Tange I had in stock, got some transfers from Greg Softly and built it up as a Single Speed with mainly the rest (bars/stems/brakes/etc) being original bits. This was a little while ago and it has been up and down the Fernleigh Track a few times and used for tips around town. Rides nice but is fairly heavy compared to other bikes of the same size I possess. Once it is rolling you don't really notice....

I've got all the bits and pieces, but might replace the BB and cranks.

Biggest snag is a crack through the weld behind the folding mechanism.

Here's mine, a 1990 Tourmalet. Upgraded from 300ex to 6400/6401 tricolour. NJS Kashimax Aero saddle, Sakae anatomic bend bars. Pictured here with XLR8 Rouleur rims laced to 6400/6402 hubs, but picked up Mavic Open 4CD laced to 6400/6401 just the other day.

Picked this mountain bike up at a garage sale for $10.
Pretty good frame but the wheels are a bit too rusty.
I have a Giant with a cracked frame in the shed, hopefully the french haven't made every part of this bike different size.

Just starting another everyday bike to ride, doing it up in homage to PX10.
I always liked the look of them. I picked up a Europa/Abeni.
It was a drab blue with no decals and full chrome forks and the hardly used 600 gruppo which is just sitting in a nice box for me to look at for the time being.

A light sand , painted the forks and some metallic highlights and its waiting for the decals.



This is the gear I've got so far. 70's Stronglight cranks on the way from USa. I was thinking mafac brakes but the reach is too long on the ones I've got so using some old suntour calipers,I modified rsx aero levers, I've drilled and painted plastic bits to go with some gum hoods on the way. The worlds ugliest 90's era stem that was on the bike replaced by this one off an early eighties Pug

We picked up this on eBay and I haven't been able to identify it from the web resources I've found so far. Can anyone tell me what the model is and roughly what year it was built?

(First time I've tried to post images so hopefully this works...)





The final photo is of the new owner hamming it up. He'll certainly have the coolest bike in high school.
