Merlincycles.com

Just wondering if anyone has ordered wheels from merlincycles.com before?

Did everything arrive in tact? Did you have to pay duty? What is their after sales service like?

Screaming red hot deals like Zipp 2013 firecrest 404 wheelset for $2106. Free delivery too. I could pick up a chorus cassette for $135 so about 2241 all in. Is this legit?

I ordered a front 6700 gearset from them at a great price. Shipped as any other UK store. Highly recommended from me

Haven't ordered wheels but SRAM red components and other stuff, all arrived as required and in good nick- also highly recommended (currently waiting on pedals and random stuff from them as we speak).

Hi,

I have bought numerous times from Merlin - Groupsets, Wheels and components

I had one order damaged in transit (out of maybe 15) which they fixed up without hesitation. Just bought a wheellset from them and it is excellent

As far as duty goes, it is a bit of a lucky dip - allow for the tax man to take his share, and if he doesn't then you are ahead!

Yeah I've bought a few groupsets and wheelset from them, no issues. If you are a bit concerned, get Wiggle to price match and they usually beat it by 10% also I think.

+1 - bought a groupset from there, arrived in 3 days including the weekend, awesome.

Not in original packaging obviously, just bubble wrapped and popped into a box, but generous amount of bubble wrap so it all came in good order, no damage.

I've bought from Merlin a couple of times, seem ok, much the same as Wiggle/c r c/PBK etc.

Wheels are exempt from duty anyway, but you will pay GST on anything valued over A$1000. $2990 seems to be the price they are going for in Australia (online) so you are saving around $400 if you buy from Merlin.

Thanks for the responses guys - I've bought some wheels so we'll see how how go. The prices appear to be amongst the sharpest online. :D

Merlin built a set of wheels for me a few months ago - really, really well done. The lead times are a little long, I think because they are popular wheel builder, and the shipping is a little slow. I was planning on building the wheels myself but Merlin were able to do it cheaper than I could, even including shipping.

I've purchased a pair of carbon forks from Merlin - arrived quickly and well packaged and I'd buy from them again without hesitation.
