Well I had already done 15k when I decided to hook up with the bunch ride at the Surf Club. I stayed with them for about 7Ks and even did a turn on the front, that, was not part of the plan! Well I knocked over 57.7Klm for the morning a distance I have not covered in 30yrs. 8)

Paid for it though. Just did a 22klm steady spin to try and ride out some of the soreness and stiffness this morning. :(

Been slack these last three weeks but had a nice spin this morning. Will go and join the bunch ride from the Surf Club for another ride in the morning. They leave at 7am for the ride.

Look for the slow dude on the Merida... All going well I will be doing a lap or two when the sun comes up... Need to head back early though; grandies will only cover the kids so long... :-)

Well that hurt but pain is good!

Did you ride past the bunch over at the surf side around 7am Brett? There was a bloke on a Merida on the opposite side to us.

I did about 40km on the island this morning.
Looked like a good group.
I will have to plan my trips accordingly to join the group sometime.

How do you keep track of when the group goes for its rides?

Mistake  Oh the embarrassment of it all but I did last about 7ks with them. Some how I ended up doing about a Klm on the front. This was because I was a little late and meet them coming towards me, so I turned and was expecting them to roll past me and then I was going to sit on. Wrong, they pulled up on the back of me and I burnt my legs big time on the front with Merv (68yrs) at a speed of 33-35Kmh. :)

The plus side was I lasted 6.5klms further than Christmas when they pulled 200mtrs out of me in 300mtrs.

Well done Foo. Based on your past life as a racer that speed is hiding in there somewhere and I reckon you'll find it surprisingly quick if you push yourself with rides like that.

If it's not raining in the morning, I will go and meet up with the Sunday crew again. I went out this morning and only did 8Klms  as I didn't put my phone in a ziplock bag (big rain clouds moving my way)and for some reason my legs were just crap. :? I've gotten soft in my old age! :(

The bunch had a bee in their bonnet this morning and I was gone after 5ks  but it was partly my fault through sitting on the back. :( I only do this so I don't back anyone off but I need to sit in front of the women now I think.

On the plus side my speed average was still up considering I road three quarters of it by myself. :D
