Well, I thought it was about time I added mine in here. Original frame now fixed on the right and little brother on the left.

That's a "no excuses" bike you've got there. You won't be able to blame it for any crappy times you post. Lovely.

Thanks bigfriendlyvegan. I am aware of the rules, just not sure which rule makes my bars illegal other than having grip tape clearly marking hand positions? These old 3T bars are run by quite a few riders here... If they aren't allowed, I need to buy some that are as I am focusing on the National Masters Champs next March.

Could be the aero form factor of the bars contravenes UCI technical ruling 1.3.024

Aspect ratio of the bars isn't close to being an issue. I had Vision Tech bar on the TT bike which had to be retired due to this...

Base bar is fine. But the clip on extensions have a rise that is too high (where your hands grip). Have a look at the pictures on page 7 of the link. It is possible with those bars to place your hands on the very end of the extensions and thus have arms that are not flat. Your forearms must be horizontal. You could possibly hacksaw about 8cm off the ends of them and they might pass. But they look too long too and would need to slide back a bit. You'd be surprised how short the extensions have to be when they get measured up.

Thanks for the detail. Could be the angle of the photo, as I my forearms are level holding the top of the extensions. On the same size frame (the Fuji Track Pro) the bars in this setup was right on 80cm forward of the BB. But we have an IP this weekend at DISC, so i will put the bike in the jig to confirm. 8)

In my experience the NSW commissaires are stricter than the Viccy ones.

Raced the IP Saturday on the Planet X. Still some work to go before the Nationals in March (couple seconds outside my PB from a few years ago) - but have my files from both the qualifier and final so know what I need to work on...

Whilst there I sat my bike in the jig - all lined up perfectly! Saddle exactly 5cm behind the BB and extensions right on 75cm forward of the BB. Forearms definitely level... :D

My Pro-Lite Trentino GP with the Vincenzas on :D

I'm as happy as a dog with 2 tails! The wind (it's always a little windy at The Kenrick Tucker Velodrome) surprised me how it affects the front end. We'd been doing some motor paced 200s (12.99 for an old fat bloke!) and as i drifted up from behind the bike i got a buffeting which had me back off a touch in the previous run, but got it together for my PB. Bundaberg International Cycling Spectacular this weekend will be it's public debut :)

Thanks again Jacks1071
