The only issue here is that the AGF can't just waltz on over and hand out the bumper stickers. The "fractured" WA orgs are doing a stellar job IMO.

"@markatextor: @Aushiker @amygillettfdn any lack of progress in WA is a case in point about the fragmentation of the community there. needs to change"

Which was really interesting given @amygillettfdn claimed

@Aushiker we've been working with key stakeholders to improve safety for all riders. By facilities do you mean infrastructure? @bicyclingwa

which when pushed resulted in this explanation ...

Amy Gillett Found'n @amygillettfdn
@Aushiker stakeholders incl bicycling groups, politicians, road agencies, motoring groups and also groups via cyclesafecommunities.org.au
Which in my experience here translates to a visit or two by Tracey Gaudry to speak at "conferences." If they just recognised others effrots and worked with them that would be so much better.

Anyway back to the daily grind of writing submissions (depressing stuff), following up on grants and so on.

Yep. In the past month so "we" (meaning Cyclesnail) lobbied for and got the Vulnerable User Representative position reinstated and funded by the RACWA for another year at least. That role is our channel into the WA Road Safety Council. Pretty important channel ... To my knowledge neither @amygillettfdn or BicyclingWA had any input into that lobbying or outcome.

This is the sort of basic behind the scenes stuff that goes on week after week .. not headline grabbing but important base work mostly done by Cyclesnail.

That's the problem Andrew. You don't know what theyve done until they've snuck around you and organised it.

I have it on slightly dubious authority that the Oxford English Dictionary has revised the entry for "smug bastige", they've totally deworded it and inserted the below...

I thought he did an outstanding job tonight. Diplomatic, pragmatic, apologetic and in no way aggressive towards the reporter.

Maybe it's because you know where your towel is?
I'd suggest that this bloke be given the dishonorific title "Zarniwoop" but we already have a member by that name :(

Well it looks like Textor, Mark A has lost some of his ink. Apparently he has been forced to apologise for the pornstar comment.

The fact the comments were deleted says everything. Rumour has it that he has been told by a Liberal heavy to put a lid on his Twitter ego. Very poor form from him.

The word on the street (thanks to BastardSheep) is that Mark Textor's Twitter account has been deleted. I get the feeling some serious spanking has been going on. Now the big question is what will Amy Gillet Foundation do?

I read in the SMH yesterday that Malcolm Fraser has called for him to sacked as the provider of polling information to the Liberal Party.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. ;)
