Overcast and a bit of wind but still good for a ride. :)

Saw a couple of others out and about enjoying the piece and quiet. Hopefully it won't be raining in the morning so I can hook up with the bunch ride for another lesson in how unfit I am.

Greg's a bit of a machine. He used to be built like a truck before his heart attack, was like riding behind one too.

Bribie Island Ride

It was a mix of sealed and dirt roads with a section of very steep and sloppy motorcycle track.

I used to chase the motorbikes around in the bush on my bike made from the dump as a 14yr old. These where BSA and AJS Matchless motorbikes back in the day. In hind sight I think this was my grounding for my endurance abilities and still having a half decent sprint.

No ride yet for this weekend, the legs are feeling a bit weird plus, I needed to wash the truck' also did the car. Blowing a gale also and the way my legs are, I don't need to be feeling hurt right from the start. :( Yeah I know, soft!

Been on the Bribie island ride half a dozen rides now from home.

About 120 km round trip for me up to Woorim beach and back.

Beautiful spot and the Council needs congratulating on the beautification of the foreshore areas and facilities.

I go up to 8th Avenue, do a loop and then have a stop at the beach bench on 5th Avenue.

What hacks me off is the amount of rubbish left in the car park, McDonalds bags etc etc.

There is a bin next to the toilet block! (which by the way is pristine). All of 5 meters away from the parking spots.

Lazy bastiges, what is wrong with people? Obviously go there because it is a beautiful spot and then want to crap on it.

So very true Beans! We never saw Macfatonalds laying every where until, they turned up!

120Ks that's a good ride for anyone. One of the old blokes ( I can say that cause he's older than me 68yrs) gets 106Klms in by riding from Beachmere to the meeting point and then back home and can hold 30-35 for that distance.

Over on the Eastern side. Come off the bridge to the second round about turn right and stay on that road. You will go through another three round abouts and then it will take you over there and you will come to another round about after about a 3klm straight. Go through it and 70mtrs on ya right is the Surf Club.
