New Avantiplus shop on Sandy Bay Road
Postby limbot » Sun Nov 24, 2013 3:17 pm
Been watching this building(129 Sandy Bay Road) for a while since one of my mates business's was in there and there was construction work going on there for a while. Noticed yesterday it's turned into a big Avantiplus shop. Have to drop in during the week and see if there's anything of interest

I went in there the other day, sadly it doesn't seem particularly exciting. Nice displays, but nothing new to offer as a shop.

There hasn't been a bicycle shop in Sandy Bay ever, interesting to see how it goes. Sure its a large shop with nice displays but sadly what's missing is good people within. Its the same old bike shop really, nothing new, nothing exciting.

Dropped in at lunch time today and sadly I can only agree with the comments. Some nice bikes, not a lot of accessory and there's a subtle difference between leaving a customer to browse by themselves and complete disinterest. Was in there for about 10 minutes and not even a "give me a hoi if I can help"
I do like the mtb display around the Palm. For those unaware that Palm was actually outside the building originally (have a look at the roof line)

Ah well, I hope they give it a red hot go. Avanti are a really solid brand and the bikes are much better than their brand rep suggests.
