I used to nod...until my head fell off one day. This had no effect on my skill level, but I have to put my helmet somewhere.

i see the same regulars day after day riding to and from work. if i'm going up a hill and working hard i just give them a finger flick. No - not that finger! :twisted: but just either lift my right hand little finger off as if to say hi. or sometimes its a left index finger. by the time i've got enough breath to say hi they've gone anyway.
