Mate, that looks fantastic. I love IF frames. I've wanted one since I first drooled over a Yo Eddy team Fat Chance MTB back in the early 90's.dodge wrote:My new frame all built up

Great looking wheels Jim. Can you please let me know how much they (wheelset) weigh? Thanksfamilyguy wrote:New wheels via XLR8, 5700 32H to XLR8 Rouleurs. First ride yesterday. Almost an immediate convert to the wider rim thinking, with these at 95PSI.

Nice Jim, they look nice & plush, welcome to the 'wider' club.familyguy wrote:New wheels via XLR8, 5700 32H to XLR8 Rouleurs. First ride yesterday. Almost an immediate convert to the wider rim thinking, with these at 95PSI.

The above crankset was removed from Van Helsing below because the last bit finally arrived to install the Sugino OX601XD 46/30 super-compact crankset (well, it is my audax bike and I reckon gradients get steeper by 2-3% for every 100km you ride ):
There was a bottle cage bolt in the exact place the band on the old front derailleur needed to be so I had to get one of these to work around that:
... and a new front derailleur, so in a fit of experimentation I went with a Shimano CX-70 as it is designed to work with CX cranksets, i.e. smaller rings. Campmano! So far so go. Have needed to do a bit more tuning.

Yes, just a whisker over 1800g. Glad you like them! They are a great versatile rim. Stiff too!familyguy wrote:You know, I was going to weigh them with skewers and rim tapes only before I put them on, but forgot . Certainly lighter than my old Ksyrium's though (which weighed at 2.010kg with skewers and rim tapes). At a guess maybe c.1.8kg? Josh might have a better idea without a scale.

Lovely quote minhhy. Thanks for the feedback.minhyy wrote:excellent choice familyguy, I've got Josh's Rouleur laced to 6400 hubs at 85-90 psi and they're butter
The Rouleurs are great rims. All the benefits of an Hplusson Archetype, but stiffer, a smidge wider, cheaper, at a 20g weight disadvantage. What's not to like!

Wow, not seen one of those for a while. I remember when Panda first brought those into the country. The Cromovelato ones were nice, but he never seemed to have the right frame in stock in my size ...Clownshoes wrote:Steel is real, yo'
