It came up on the news feed. Not my intent to dilute tragedies. Someone has lost a father/husband/brother/uncle today. The 2nd Womble wrote:Yes thanks to that crap most of you haven't even noticed that yet another cyclist was killed in SEQ yesterday afternoon. Take the arguments elsewhere and show som ------- respect!

let's hope this poor guy pulls through, and the law is meted in full force at the hit and run driver.

sadly, I think Australia will have to face the same as London, before law enforcers wake up to themselves about what's going on.

6 cyclist deaths in 2 weeks in London, 5 involving heavy vehicles, and the police still think it's an issue of cyclists not wearing helmets or hi vis clothing!

Terrible, just awful. I suppose nothing much will happen to the driver, as per usual.winstonw wrote:it's time for police, lawyers, and judges to remind themselves enforcement of the law is there as a deterrent.

They seem to have someone, presumably correctly. The more runners that are caught the less the chance that others, down the track, will do a runner.g-boaf wrote:Terrible, just awful. Outside Morgans Seafood for those that not 100% familiar street name wise with the area.A 74-year-old male cyclist has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a traffic crash at Scarborough last week.
Just after 7pm on November 26, a four-wheel drive collided with a bicycle on Bird of Passage Parade.
The male cyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased today.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing its investigations into the incident.
