Just discovered this thread.
I too have had the dreaded creaking DA cassette (11-28).
It has creaked from day one.
I have had it off several times , re-torqued to 40NM every time , tried carbon assembly paste on the carbon edges of the spider , tried on 2 different sets of wheels........
Same result every time.
A mate , thanks Dogga , lent me a Sram 11 speed cassette -- problem solved.
Have just bought one of the new Ultegra 6800 cassettes , which still has a carbon section that only has 2 cogs on it and more rivets.
Problem is can't report how that works , as I'm out of action for 6 weeks with broken wrist
If that fixes it , I will buy another for my other wheel-set.
Bought the DA cassette from O/S , can't be bothered returning , so it will go in the bin.

Broke a 12-25 today. Bought in April but not put into service until August. The carbon carrier shattered.

Seem to be ongoing issue with those cassettes. Saw a thread in the shed awhile ago that said shimano were aware of the issue.

ok so i cracked my 11-25 DA 9000 yesterday after about 4000km. Has anyone that's got the replacement DA had any success with it (more than a few 1000kms) or should i try the SRAM cassette?

There is a new design da cassette with dual pins but it still creaks and groans and breaks. Ultegra works fine.
