There is a separated shared path alongside Gungahlin drive (not on the road) that links up with a path along Ellenborough Street which you can follow to the set of lights on Mouat St where you can cross and follow the path all the way to the city, I've tried to put the route on to Google maps - here

That sounds correct, depending on your fitness though the times will vary. I'm not super fast but get a decent speed and it took me about 20 minutes from Mitchell to the City. Strava file is below for you to see which way I went.
