That's nice.

My average ride temp was 37 degrees. I think I might have to change my plans for this years 500..... Might have to resume the 10pm night rides :P
That is the solar load - what was the temperature today?

It got to 35 north of Samford. The lowest my GPS got to was 37 in the shade at Samford/Upper Kedron. IIRC Brisbane recorded 33 and Ipswich got to 34. Gatton got to 36. Still got slowly cooked riding on the heat reflective road. Had a laugh when rocks stuck to my wheel

The weather has been quite pleasant here in Noosa. We rode the Boreen Point, Pomona, Cooroy, Noosa circuit early this morning. Even the climb in Louis Basso Drive didn't get me too sweaty. But we'll be back in Brisbane for the weekend.

Awesome photos. :D
Weather was typical lousy christmasday heat in Brisbane western suburbs.
Bad enough to make you feel distinctly lethargic and cranky but not bad enough to whinge about.
Slight breeze out of doors with a few obligatory christmas blowflies :D but also some mossies :(

Yes it was very nice this morning - well until about 8am anyway.

In fact conditions for road cycling were about as good as it gets, early this morning.
Basically there were hardly any cars around where i was riding.
Surreal. 8)

Quite a difference after 2 days.
much the same ride, http://www.strava.com/activities/101879702
Accompanied by some of the Raturday group.
More cars and more humidity = more effort and more concentration required to do the same result :?

Perfect conditions the last couple of days, the rain helped reduce the humidity and the cloud cover yesterday provided shelter from the sun for almost the entire ride.
I actually had ppl complain about being cold, who would have thought.

I actually went for a ride this afternoon instead of trying to beat the sunrise... I believe it is about to get hotter and then timer to go back out west... I do miss winter

Earlier today was not too bad, hot but there was a breeze and the humidity was not catastrophic.

It seems more humid tonight and there is no breeze so i suspect that you are very correct.

Take your bike & head out for a nice lunch time spin.

If you're lucky you'll find a nice northerly facing road with 6 foot high crops growing on both sides which should set up a nice blast furnace effect.

Just think if you survive you could write a book about the Womble who survived the blast furnace. That's a catchy title for a kids book.

I already look like I chewed through a door, I don't need to look kiln baked on top of that. I took a screenshot earlier on today at 41.8°c but Photobucket is now a useless pile of crap. It got hotter.
