yes it was so cold all day I rode in a jumper for the whole trip mainly because of the wind we are at the below -2 most mornings so commuting to work at the moment is out as wellBoognoss wrote:Well done mate. Was the time chosen for a bit of warmth? It was bloody cold in Sydney today between 05:00 and 08:00 when I was out.

I went out alone and had a stiff head wind out my average speed was 19.8 kph and with a couple of food breaks took around the 5.30 hours I had a longish break at the 66 klm point to drink 600ml of coke and eat a cake (it looked just to go to pass up )RobRollin wrote:Nice effort!!!

well done! im still trying to do 100km in a WEEK!Postman Pat wrote:After reading about everyone else doing a 100 klm I went out and busted a gut to get mine in today. Headed of at 11.15 am it took awhile to worm up today. Headed out in a v shaped course I had a big head wind out on the second leg and rode along till I archived 50 klm and turned around and headed for home. the last 10 klm was the worst as you would expect but I had some fairly big hills in the last bit but I Did it yee haa

It won't take long I was using the lure of getting a 100 in a day as incentive it helps if you use the bike journal and race someone then try to get the next person on the list in the next ride with logging your klm'sni78ck wrote:well done! im still trying to do 100km in a WEEK!Postman Pat wrote:After reading about everyone else doing a 100 klm I went out and busted a gut to get mine in today. My biggest problem is actually spending time on the road to keep up the klm's 3 tin lids and a wife who doesn't want me to enjoy my self.bowie wrote:its amazing small every other distance feels once you crack 100 ;P

I have now given up any hope of ever doing a 100+ ride ever again. 15 to 30 mins is about the longest I can safely go out for and not be in trouble when I return home

101 to Gunnedah average speed 27.1 klm per hour in company with 2 other riders 3 flats (none mine) and a climb total of 403 meters
the 101 home with an average of 26.0 by myself the other 2 riders had family commitments in Gunnedah 1 flat (mine)a climb total of 860 meters
food consumed on the outward journey is.
2 x Mars bars 1 x 600ml of coke and a power aid 3 x 750 ml biddons
lunch was a 1/2 of a piece of fish and a hand full of chips
on the way home
1 x Mars bar 3 x gue's 1 x 600ml of coke and 1 large snake (jelly not a real one ) 3 x 750 ml biddons
total ride time of 7.40 min and a door to door time of 10.15 min
so I am pretty tired which is not a surprise but happy with the days effort
