If the spacing on the Giant stem is the same as a 3T ARX stem, I have a spare :D Works well and does look good !!

Tried it with the k-edge mount and it won't fit. If you have the full aero kit with the Di2 version you'll need a timber clamp to use as a mount

The new 2014 propels are ready. They've split it into 2 ranges like they have done with the TCR's. Advanced and Advanced SL. The Advanced sport a different colour scheme, feature Ultegra Di2 11 speed and the seat post isn't integrated. Prices for the SL's have gone up due to them coming with Zipp 404 wheelsets but you can now buy the propel frame by itself. Also looks like the SL1 has got a slimmer stem.

Thoughts? Anyone got insight on pricing?

I actually dislike the looks of most Giants, and most areo bikes for that matter. Well not the Scott Foil.

The only Giant I like the aesthetics of is the TCR SL

The colour schemes on the 2014 advanced models is disappointing.

Hmmmmm. The brake mounts were recalled to allow for a larger spacing to adjust where the brakepad sits up and down to the braking surface to cover more wheelsets and just now as I replace the rear pads they won't drop far enough for the factory wheelset. Fronts are perfect. Rears don't align. Bloody hell haha.

For anyone with the combined stem/bar from Giant and looking for a Garmin mount might be interested in this.

Can anyone tell me if the slr aero bars that come on most propels can take a bar fly or similar mount for a garmin? Looking at a set for the new build but won't go for them if they can't take an out front mount.
Thanks cmm

Nope. They are aerobars so no 3rd party mounts as of yet. Either mount it on the stem or purchase a 3rd part mount that attaches to the front of the stem or you can buy a stem that has the garmin amount built in ie 3T does this.

i thought the SL 1 was black, and the SL 0 was black/blue?

that is hot though, love the black logos on a black frame.

SL1 is all black. DuraAce 9000 running gear and aero bars.
SL0 is blue/black. DuraAce DI2 running gear and aero integrated stem and bars.

Carrots has the all black frame with the DuraAce DI2 running gear and the aero integrated stem and bar setup.

What Lukey said essentially.

Had them swap the frames over as I can't really say I'm a fan of the blue/black company colours frame.

New bars arrived today - ZIpp Vuka's to go on. Need to go and find a new FSA OD2 headset or at least the top crown piece to get rid of the aero spacers and aero crown.

ah, righto. so SL 1 frame with SL 0 spec... best of both worlds. i very much agree with you on the colour decision. if you ever feel the need to sell it at an extremely reduced price, let me know.

Just to be technical (aka anal retentive)... an SL0 package with an SL1 frame. That said the only difference in frames is colour.

Re the computer mounts, apparently the Giant OEM computer mounts that mount from underneath (ie like the Pro Stealth mounts etc) and sit out the front have finally started to appear.

Ie.

Yes. :( Ugly.

The 2013 models are going cheap. I was drooling over them the other day. Good deals to be had.

If I bought one as a blast around/every day type bike I was considering buying it. After leaving the shop take it all apart once at home. Take the frame+fork to PaintMyBike. Get them to strip it and repaint it in midnight black and electric blue with white decals. Take it back home. Rebuild it. And then enjoy it :P
