How freakin' good is Ryan Bailey? Even the commentator was groaning in disappointment behind Phil when he slipped to the back and then, like myself, just couldn't believe how he came back around the outside for the win. What a champion! Really hope he can do it in the final.

How have the bloody Brits become so good since Athens?

Anna Meares seems to be our only shot at gold this time around, and even then her pet event has been scrapped :(

With so much sport it is a shame that there is not more cycling to coincide with the times in which I put the TV on. In a lot of sports I get a general feeling that the Aussies are not as strong as their competitors though on the whole think that they are doing a great job and am really enjoying the competition - when the difference is milliseconds and centimeters the performance really is fantastic.

It's criminal that the 1k and 500mtr time trials have been scrapped.

Great events to watch and very easy to understand.

Quote of the games goes to my 3 y.o daughter -

D: "Daddy, who's that on the bike?"
Me: "It's Anna Mears. She's an Aussie so we cheer for her. Say Go Anna Mears".
D: "Go animal ears".

Nearly lost my lunch with laughter.

Kev.

Nice one.
Even grown ups have their moments - watching TDF after Cadel Evans got into yellow and was doing an interview the commentator (in German) said:

"He is wearing yellow like a canary and sounds like a canary too".

Commentator was a bit of a dill.
