You forgot the other wildcard entry (and home town favourites):
Team UniSA - Australia
Caleb Ewan
Campbell Flakemore
Jack Haig
The final four will be decided after the nationals.
Can Ewan match it with Bling and Gossy, not to mention Renshaw and Greipel for the sprints?
Gerrans for GC?

Kittel in there also! Ewan is certainly on a role, this should be a great step up for him and see where he's at in comparison. A shame he's not riding for Orica...that would have given him a better lead out train. Although I guess he showed in the National crit that doesn't always count for everything. Would be good to see him get a stage win.systermb wrote:You forgot the other wildcard entry (and home town favourites):

Also interested to see how young Zabel performs.

Seen a few criteriums where Caleb has has zilch support from his team yet still manage to outsprint an OGE train. He has developed a very good racing brain to go with his burst of speed. Mohoric from Cannonale is another for the people playing TDU fantasy games.

Voeckler is out with a broken collar bone.
Crashed into a parked car on his first training ride here.

Not quite a parked car. From what I read, the car braked suddenly to avoid a pedestrian crossing the road, and Voeckler didn't have time to react and hit the car.Allkai wrote:Voeckler is out with a broken collar bone.

Lifted from CN.
"When we went out training this morning and a pedestrian crossed the road so a car braked very quickly and I didn't have time to brake so I bumped into the car," said Voeckler. "I immediately knew that my collarbone was broken as it's the third time I have broken it."
