Postby wheels46 » Mon Jan 27, 2014 2:31 pm

Break it to me gently people... how much trouble am I in here?

Does anybody know of source for the (flimsy plastic) part? FWIW It's 2013 Centaur. For the front derailleur.

Not happy as it's only around 7 months old !!!

Thanks in advance.

I'd try contact ribble first.

let us know how you go, TBH, I was always a bit concerned about that paddle breaking. Looks like such a weak connection and it feels like like it takes some effort to move that shifter too.

Yep I've let them know... I agree. On the front mech it feels really bendy when you shift. I was lucky enough to find a single one for sale on ebay. That will get me back on the road and I'll let you know how the whole warranty thing works out. Not holding my breath.

Ribble contacted me. It appears the shifters are covered by a 3 year warranty. :D I just have to post it back with the standard explanation form and they investigate then replace it.

Bum that Campag has made that a plastic part. On my 2010 Centaur it's alu. I wonder if an alu Athena lever fits?
