Hi guys,
I don't seem to have many free weekends these days, so trying to squeeze in some early morning training (7:00-8:30) rides. Is this just a terrible idea, or are there routes that don't have too many crazed motorists at that time? So far my only ideas have been the velodrome in Brunswick East (which I live close to - did 100 laps, got bored), or Yarra Boulevard. Any other ideas? Looking for around 20-35km, from Fitzroy North.
Thanks,
Steve

7am isn't early
beverly ave -> mt pleasant rd is my favourite. will be roughly 65k return, or you can cut it shorter easy enough if you need.
Alternatively I usually try leave northcote at 4.30-5am on a tuesday or wednesday to get as far down beach road as I can in the time I have (need to be back in port melb by 6.45am)
