Thanks for the link; worth posting this widely to make sure mountain bikers aren't excluded by vocal anti-* types...

I was going to post that a 2-3km hot mix hill climb crit track would be ideal, but after that comment, I might keep it to myself.

Some of the proposals I have heard include having a trail building group similar to the Bruce Ridge one where they work alongside parks to make sure the area is developed for MTB in a sustainable manner. I approve. As long as it doesn't get as rutted and rooted like it was before it all got shut down. God, it was rough.

Oh, I'm anything but opposed to other activities - in fact I've probably spent more time there on foot than on the bike over the years. But some of the locals view it as their personal dog-walking park and have made it their mission to have the bikes kicked out in the past.
