Eric Jarretts Memorial Time Trial
Postby nailsaslegs » Tue Feb 04, 2014 7:14 pm
HI all, you may or may not be aware we have a time trial coming up in honour of Eric, Sunday 16 March. I will be asking Jenny to give the trophy to the winner, we would like if ride groups that Eric was involved with Dome, and Wednesday Morning Bakery ride etc if they would like to ride out to the TT and be part of the celebration. There will be a coffee van and looking at having a BBQ to raise funds for motor neurone disease. Can you pass this onto anyone who knew Eric that would be great. Any questions let me know. Rob.

Details
Next Sunday, 16th March, the STCC are holding the Eric Jarrett Memorial Time Trial, Eric passed away in 2013 of Motor Neurone Disease. This time trial raises money for Motor Neurone Disease Tasmania which goes towards research and funding.
There is also a casual ride from the Cenotaph at 830am out to the Broadmarsh Hall for anyone who knew Eric to be a part of the event. A gold coin donation would be nice.
The 20km time trial course is brand new rolling out and back course for 2014.
Registrations Open at 9am
Cost: $10
Cycling Australia or TriSouth licenses are required and will be checked.
Start Time 10am
A Sausage Sizzle and Coffee van will be at the Hall. Proceeds for the BBQ will also go to MNDT.
We require volunteers for the registrations and timing please notify us if your available.

So theres been some questions regarding licenses for the time trial. You will need to go to the cycling Australia website and everyone signs up online. We don't sign up manually, everything is done online, Payment is made using a credit card. This was brought in by CA to cut down on redtape and to make it easier for clubs and members. Here we go: http://www.cycling.org.au/Home/Membership" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
See you on Sunday

That's right Eric the Viking was his popular nickname. I personally miss him a lot, his jovial laugh and friendly persona. RIP my friend.

Oh no. I never realised he had passed. Very sad. He was a nice guy I had riden with him quite a bit.
