identifying old track frame

the cycle gods have shined on me again this week, today i rescued an old track frame( assuming track as no holes for brakes,rather a light construction)
the headstem is rather distinctive.. aside from the integrated bearing housings, the ornate front features a letter that is a ornate letter E OR a Gaelic looking letter M on its side.
my LBS suggested a mercator?
hints of the blue paint with white pinstripes and diamond patterns down the fork.
im sure Ive seen a pic of a very ,very similar frame somewhere on BNS but I thought Id ask the experts first

I think you might be right with the super elliot thing. I found an image that had a load of frames together, and when i can enlarge it im sure i'll find a copy. Thanks fellas

this is where our problems begin. all to do with upgrading our sevice etc. weve had problems even since.
i pretty sure its a super elliott after managing to get onto a site that had a history ofthe brand.
rather pleased with the find.

mines rather an ornaate example ,but does that make it older or younger?

older than what? younger than what?

it's old. the horizontal rear ends, the curved bridge, the headset fittings, the stem array etc all suggest prewar. I'd suggest 1930s, perhaps late 1920s

Hi All
landyacht03 is there a serial number?
Is there anything on the down-tube, it looks like some markings are on there? any of it readable? makers, name of anything etc.
I have been collecting Super Elliott serials for a while to see if there is a pattern among all these frames and bikes and could see if it fits in soemwhere.
The serial is mainly located around the seat collar or under the Bottom Bracket,
I would say it is a 1930's era, however i havent seen an E in that style but thats not to say it isnt a Super Elliott,

the seat post and stem wont be coming out anytime soon,sorry.
the frame was buried in a pile of temite eaten OOOOLD firewood in a collapsed shed. after my luck with finding a swansea 5 swan ive asked all my bobcat mates to keep their eyes peeled . i went back to the frame tonight and there on the bottom bracket on the curved front is a serial number. the first symbol is partial due to the curve but I reckon it would have to be a capital E?followed by distinct 34672.
I dont know anything about the history as its an empty house thats falling down , dont even know who might have lived there(boulder ,WA)
original colour would have been a royal blue with white finelining ad white patterning on the fork
