Brisbane Cycling Updates
Postby Lukeyboy » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:30 pm
Anyway. The bikeway through the Clem 7/Airport Link is now open.
My advice. Never run off the footpath. You'll end up being transported to the RBWH. There are large rocks all over the ground with a wire mesh on top.
And then there is this little gem just further on. I'd hate to make the wrong exit at speed
The bikelane on Adelaide Street has been removed.
A bike box has also been added to the Roma Street Parklands exit at last instead of the usual small bike lane on the side.

HAve you got a strava link for the new bike path?
Is that meant to connect the bike path from Roma St parklands through to the KB path?

Takes you to the same place that you can get to if you turned right at the fork but takes you longer to get there.
I have tried asking BQ where it is going to go after that but they have been pretty unclear.

A pano view of the area
An overhead view of the rocky landscape. Some with mesh. Some without.
A pano view underneath the bridge
A close up of the wire mesh and rocks. I don't know what's worse really.
A nice close up of the concrete.
Nice edges for the pathway
Perspective on the rock sizes. Size 47 shoe.
Very safe

This would be my gut reaction if i caught whoever thought that was an acceptable landscaping plan.
