I had a look but I couldn't find any thread that this would suit so I made this thread.

Anyway. The bikeway through the Clem 7/Airport Link is now open.



My advice. Never run off the footpath. You'll end up being transported to the RBWH. There are large rocks all over the ground with a wire mesh on top.



And then there is this little gem just further on. I'd hate to make the wrong exit at speed



The bikelane on Adelaide Street has been removed.



A bike box has also been added to the Roma Street Parklands exit at last instead of the usual small bike lane on the side.

Pretty sure it opened around late January. Haven't had a chance to get out there with the GoPro

HAve you got a strava link for the new bike path?
Is that meant to connect the bike path from Roma St parklands through to the KB path?

Eventually connect to the Roma Street section of bikeway. Not sure about KB though. Here is the map for when the bikeway is to be finished. http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/Proje ... waymap.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The pathway heading under Bowen Bridge road is completed AFAIK (marked with no entry signs) but the RNA side hasn't been touched yet. It would be interesting to know if some sort of bridge would also be constructed to go over the road and onto the existing bikeway once the legacy works are completed.

At this stage it doesn't connect to KB. When you get off this new section at the Northern End, around McDonald Rd, you'll need to use the on street maze of BAZ, bike lanes and backstreets to get to KB. I find it fairly quiet and convenient, but members of other forums think it is too busy.

YEah I'm the same. I never have any issues riding that section but others do seem to have issues. The only issues I have seen are those begging to be hit by a car.

marinmomma, have a look on Google maps with the cycling layer switch on - I added the new section a few days ago, so it should be published by now.

Been open for a good few weeks.
Takes you to the same place that you can get to if you turned right at the fork but takes you longer to get there.
I have tried asking BQ where it is going to go after that but they have been pretty unclear.
