This is my first post on this forum and its a nice way to start
I was reading another post about the 100km or Century Club, and i would like to say that i joined it at the beginning of this year. I am a 16 year old boy whos one passion in life is road cycling/racing, and recently gotten into cross country while still racing road. I joined Turramurra Cyclery in sydney at the end of the season this year and cannot wait til races start again next summers.
My 145kms was probably the hardest ride i have ever done, it was the challenge ride at the Tour Down Under, where you ride the same stage course as the pros, only in the morning before they ride it. It was above 35 degrees and i think i went through about 7 litres of water that day.
I would love to know you else has achieved the century club and is a young rider like myself.
Cheers guys, hope to hear from you

Postby Ricco » Mon Aug 25, 2008 8:55 am
145k in 35c heat is a great effort.
Remember train your body, don,t punish it, and you will always get out what you put in.
Hold on to that passion, from an older roadie that is now Bent.
Way to go mate!
