Hello from Mexico…

Have here an oldie.. Wood wheel, wood water protections, brakes in the axles, aso… English made, probably, dated “before” 1950 (have 1950 license plate on it). 3 speeds original Simplex gear, cast iron front "gear", aso..

I look for / Need one (if not the 2…) of the shock stops as seen on pict .. (if i can post such... can't figure the option on this page)

Those "stops" are relatively ?? old ones , British made originally, abt 1940 i think? .Red rubber, natural ...)

Or instead a good equivalent..

Soooo, If by chance someone's agenda , garage, cellar or phone books contains something looking like “that” somewhere, someplace, somehow, some… i would be glad to hear from such person…

i mean i have here old shockstops , one at each end of front control horizontal "tube" , not those on the brake controls/bases as described in the forums here...

you might try
joining the Veteran-Cycle Club
and they may have some reproductions
see this page
then click on the link found in this part "For a listing of items available from the Club Library please click here"
you then get this listing
go to page 22, left hand side, two-thirds of the way down. That might be what you are after, depends on whether they are reproductions of the 60s or 69s or any other variation put out by Shockstop.
If you look at the 1949 Aids to Happy Cycling p8, the Shockstop handlebar grips then available were model nos 53 and 55.
OR
Hilary Stone has some No 60s, but is out of stock at the moment. Perhaps an email to Hilary and ask when he will get some more in. His may be the ones from the Veteran Cycle Club.

Either way you need to check that they are what you want!

and checking my 1952 Brown Bros catalogue, Shockstop had models 23, 24, 25, 26, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 57, and 69 as well as sponge cushioning and rubber sleeving.
Quite a range!
