But smashing every climb is the whole idea :D .
Not if you want to survive and enjoy the ride :D
But STRAAAAVAAAAA!!! Plus i'll probably be riding from Enoggera to Archerfield and back for work on the monday, then doing springbrook tuesday. I've gotta leave something in the tank :) .

Duh. Do it twice. Smash them on the first go and then enjoy the view and ride on the second go :)

I have no idea. I got confused about what's going on after Jason said he'll make it a double :P Seems that 2 rides have merged into 1 smash fest :P

Lachlan.

Take a deep breath.
Do a little segment search on both O'Reillys and BB climbs and check out the times.
You are officially 'out of your league'. No disrespect to your obvious climbing ability, BUT, I think you should just join me in soaking up what is an excellent ride with views to match. 8)

Just for the record, I can't wait.
It will be an amazing day.

I think you're confused about your suggestion of a ride out Ipswich way, this Sundays aforementioned ride from Canungra(O'Reillys/BB), and JasonC's offer to turn the previously mentioned ride into a 200k'er(of which I'm very open to), and Lachlan's 'other' ride on Tuesday, which will depart from an unknown location and make it's way up to Best Of All Lookout at the top of Springbrook(highly recommended btw), and possibly another ride which may, or may not take place.

Right. Got it?

I think ldr mentioned something about 6.30 from Canungra, but seeing as it's his idea, we'd better get confirmation I suppose.
We would normally leave from the park in the main street. DJ Smith Park.

Spot on. I know i'm not going to trouble any of the KOM's (or even the top few dozen), but the one time I've done O'Reilly's was back in 2012 and I've improved a lot since then, so i'll be riding at my limit :) . I'm sure i'll have a hell of a lot of time to enjoy those views on the way back down :) .

Hehe, not with an 11-32 mtb cassette  .

(i'm guessing, I haven't done Beechmont before :) )

The plan for Tuesday is to park at the nearest convenient park/backstreet to the start of Gold Coast Springbrook Rd, probably about 6:30, ride up to Best of All and then back again. Nice simple itinerary :) .

Unfortunately i am otherwise occupied tomorrow morning and will not be able to join the O'Reillys mission.

Absolutely cracking ride. I was antisocial on the climbs, but the others got one back by leaving me for dead on the downhills :) . When i first uploaded the ride the Bryton was claiming 33,345 metres of elevation! Now corrected to a far more believable 3434m :) .

Can't wait to get back down there again to do Best of All. Astonishing scenery down that way, and the roads are pretty amazing too, my 39-32 granny got a huge amount of use :) .

Yeah, great ride guys. Always good to get out of populated areas and go ride some hills with good scenery.
It did get a bit warm though. Roll on 'winter'... :D

Yep. On one condition.
You have to commit to the 3 sides of Glorious in the same ride. (Pei Rd and back of Glorious as well)
Like I said on Sunday, Nebo is picturesque, but not that challenging, hence the reason for 'spicing' it up!

So when, tomorrow?
