Cyclist crash on Cotter Road

The ACT Ambulance Service is responding to a crash involving two cyclists on Cotter Rd.

Update to come.
Intensive care paramedics have transported two patients with minor injuries to The Canberra Hospital.

Both are in stable condition.

The crash occurred on Cotter Road, near Mt Stromlo Road.

One of the guys was a mate of mine, he has a broken scapula and the other guy also broke his scapula. It was a small bunch ride and one hit something in the road (hole, dip, something...) and went down taking the other with him.

No, not one of the well known group rides just a few mates riding together I think.

Both did their scapulas, I guess maybe they managed to do a full flip each and land on their backs, ouch.

No car involved in this crash as far as I know, maybe they were talking about a different crash

Probably just another misinformed media beat up trying to stir up cyclist vs motorist angst. Can't let a little thing like facts get in the way of a good story.
Also the radio was reporting minor injuries, broken scapula is not too minor in my books, not life threatening but not minor.
