Hi kom123, looking at some of the previous posts for this coming weekend, it seems we will be meeting at Lillies at Olympic Park and riding the 20kms to the show.
I come from Seven Hills in the Blacktown area, so you are welcome to ride to Olympic Park with me and then onto the show with the rest of the Retro riders group.

Looking at Bruces previous post, I believe we are meeting at Lillies at 9:45am with the hope of being at the show by 11am. If so, I'd probably be leaving Seven Hills around 8:45am.
find_bruce wrote: Who is up for a ride with the aim of arriving at the show by 11 am ?

I was thinking a simple 20 km ride from Lilies at Homebush to the velodrome - could leave Homebush at 9:45 and be there in plenty of time. Open to any other suggestions
Is everyone happy with Bruces suggestion?

It seems the concours people can arrive early to set up. Is 9:45 a good start or do we want to bring it forward 1/2 an hour ?

John says gates open to the public at 11am. Those in the concours should be there at 10 to set up. So I guess Im out for the ride there, but will see you guys at the show. But then there's the DHBC Retro Ride on the Sunday.

You're all welcome to come in at 10am if you'd like to help set up as there'll be plenty to do. :)

Just talk to me or Marc or Dayna.

The Sunday ride starts at 9am at the velodrome. We'll be going from there to Olympic Park and return. Lunch will be at the German Club (opposite Tempe Station) at around 1pm.

I am okay with 9:45 - let's lock in a time so I can confirm with a friend who is coming along for the ride

Ok 9:45am at Lillie's it is.

Kom123, I'll see you at the shops at Mackenzie Boulevard corner Best Rd at 8:45am, should give us time to get to Olympic Park.

My wife and I were going to take my 9month old daughter riding around SOP. Not sure if she would approve of a 18km detour

No problem see you then :)

Thankfully the few drops of rain earlier have been and gone. I'll only not go if it's pouring in the morning as I'm planning on doing the Bobbin Head Classic on Sunday and don't want any wet weather mishaps before then! Anyway if for whatever reason I can't make it I'll SMS you in the morning.

Given a dusting off and tyres pumped good to go!

Hey all, thanks for the great ride today to the classic bike show. It was good to see everyone.

It was nice to meet kom123 for the first time. He kept me company the entire way from Seven Hills to the show and back!

The show was also great to see, lots of lovely bikes to drool over on the concourse, and of course, good company.

Good luck also to Mark (recumbenteer) who rode with us to Olympic Park, as he begins his Perth to Sydney tour a week on Thursday.

Errr, a touch would be putting it mildly! I look like a lobster! I'd put sunscreen on in the morning but was kicking myself that I didn't bring it with me to reapply.

The worst thing is that I've got white patches around my eyes from where my sunnies were but the rest of me is red

C'mon, where were you lot today? Myself, Andy, and mostly DHBC people were on the Classic Bike Show Retro Ride. Ended up at about 100km today, and blowing both my tyres on the M5 a couple hundred metres away from Andy's.

Ha! Thanks a lot! I'm lucky that they'd died down a bit today as I wasn't so red.

Although I did attend the Wanderers vs Perth Glory game tonight and my partner was joking that the red face made me even more of a supporter!!
