Flippers at work: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/cameron- ... 1041238016" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; now it's $325 24hrs later.
There is a good chance the frame is cracked anyway. Looks like they had fixed the seatpost issue, but the headtube is the same old poor design & prone to cracking from the top & bottom & past the weld on either side.
bottom has fallen out of the flipper market, $175 now

Now when this seller says "nice condition for age" that is what you get. Pity its in WA
Thanks, FWIW, this is mine. It really is as good as I've written up, and I was meticulous in the rebuild and setup. I'm pretty fussy...

700c Shogun Ground Breaker running Deore LX. Switch the flat bars with drop bars and it becomes a cheap cyclocross bike or commuter.
I was really tempted by this one, I'd love to knock up a cheap CX bike but it's just too big.

Looks very nice, Stuey. Great job, there.

If only I had the room...
I don't care if it's a $20 Huffy or a $20k Colnago, as long as you're riding, and you're happy.

Other than size of the bike, that's my other problem. I can't get in the shed...

Yours probably goes..........mines been in a few bits for while now. I've always wished I could fit on Pantahs so I could own a road going TT2. Pantahs are absolutely brilliant bikes.

I wonder why that supposed Colnago has mudguard lugs on the forks but not on the rear lugs?

Not quite ebay but a tidy looking Katana going at R&K auctions tomorrow if someone's at a loose end at Leichardt. Cunningly labelled as 'a selection of metals'

Bridgestone Mixte for peanuts, possibly lugged aluminium? Anyone want to chime in on that?

Also, if Melbournians could keep a little eye out for me...I'd like to have a run in the upcoming Dirty Deeds CX, so if ya spot anything XL that could make a cheap CX bike...!

Probably not your size, but an early '80s Alan CX frame

Same sized Colnago frame

A slightly bigger Concorde frame

From the measurements given, I reckon he's lanky, long legs, long arms, but short torso.

All very nice, but I should've accentuated the 'cheap' An old Shogun Metro would do me nicely, I have some 9 speed Ultegra bits and a set of wheels and tyres. If I'm going to come dead last, I'd rather do it on a humble ghetto cross build than a Colnago...
