Gave her a bath on the weekend! It seemed at the time like the exercise was mainly just making me filthy but to my pleasant surprise she is actually shifting quite a bit happier now :)

I managed to drag my better half almost 30km up and down hills, in the rain. I think this belongs in the 'I can't believe it' thread...

I broke a spoke in the front wheel on Saturdays ride.

My LBS in Tewantin has loaned me a DT Swiss wheel to keep me on the road until it is repaired.

These guys provide a great service as it's not the first time I've been on loaner wheels from them.

Bike #16: Did a home brew mod using hope expander inside the modded Ti Saddle holder (shortened seat post). I'm so happy with the result :D

+1, not the usual cup of tea but hopefully there'll be no more seat post slippage.

Fitted a front mudguard a Zefel Paragon C40, found the bolts they supplied weren't long enough to fit on an oversized fork crown, had to put a nut in through the steerer tube that I was just able to reach with long nose pliers. Why couldn't they just supply longer bolts. Funny thing is the instructions show how to fit the mudguard to the bridge on a suspension fork, I have never seen a suspension fork with hole to fit mudguards to, maybe the bolts they supplied only fit that specific fork. I'll fit the rear mudguard eventually. Oh and I rode it today.

Rode bike #16 today. Two flats in one ride, uh M7. Looks like a good excuse to buy GP 4000s II :)

Serviced the freehub on my roadie today, regreased with Royal Purple grease. Now it's super quiet. O freehub buzz.

Perfect for sneaking up on unsuspecting pedestrians on shared paths ;)

Rode to Duffy's Forest. The sun threatened to break through the clouds a couple of times, but it was wet and windy for most of the 65km. Brakes sounded awful by the end: "scrape scrape scrape scrape scrape..."

I've had my dose of cement for the day

BIke's nice and clean again. :D

Thanks mitchy, I did a mistake putting the Di2 battery at the back of the seat post. It is not too bad, thought it may have been ideal to have it just under the seat stay, unusable space that is best fitted for the battery. Well, this can be well considered on my next custom frame

I washed bike #14 this arvo after the wet morning Bobbin Head Ride. The rain is nothing but a dirt srpay to the all the bike there this morning.

I washed the Giant yesterday, rode it this morning - and had to wash it again. I got caught in a sudden rain shower.

I also swapped the Fizik Arione R3 saddle off the bike for a Selle Lite 209 which I tested yesterday for the final 40km of yesterday's ride. After the 105km this morning, I was totally convinced so headed straight back to the bike shop to swap the test saddle off and get a brand new one.

I don't care that it is slightly heavier than the old one - this one is so much better for comfort.

Rode the MTB today. Ride punctuated by continual rattle. Turns out front derailleur has worn out its pivots & is loose & chattery over little bumps (so pretty much all the time). Pretty sure I've got one at work I can liberate during the week. :-)
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
