How cheap? Ad's been removed. Anyone here snag it?
$120 - ad seems to have been pulled rather than sold. I saw the headtube & thought cool, my size, then saw the photos & dimensions & realised no it isn't

That one's tiny, here's what I just bought:

They came in 53cm, 58cm & 63cm. Assume it's the latter. I'm only 6'2" so it might be for sale again if it don't fit.

It was 59cm square. $120 with Suntour Sprint. I posted it back a couple pages.

I reckon it's got a 27" front and a 700c rear. Dunno which it actually was made for though. I've got my eyes on a KenEvans funny bike though.

Something for the Melbournites to check out. Not sure what it is but given the lugs and chrome work it should be better than gaspipe.
Not particularly vintage but this steel Bianchi could be a good deal
Clamont although I am suspicious of the conveniently cropped and overexposed photos.

Apologies to anyone who thought this might fly under the radar. It's already attracted some attention. Watching, will have a crack if it doesn't go stupid high, definitely.

A "rare" Allan Super Record, if only they spelt Alan correctly.
A "just one owner" Centurion.
And a Bickerton "yacht bike".

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Don't fret too much, it wasn't a 'real' Dawes. I suspect either an East European or Asian build there?

Yeah, but a parting sale could've made a few bucks for someone.

Does this mean we can expect to start seeing frames with Repco, Apollo, Malvern Star etc pantographs? There must be some tricky dickies out there.

I would say the 'Dawes' is cast into the stay top that is brazed into the seat stay tube.

I should have been clearer about what I meant by a 'real' Dawes.

This is most definitely a bicycle built and originally sold by the Dawes bicycle company. (not sure who owned the company at that point tho')
But by the time those frame decals and 'no crown' forks hit the market I am pretty sure the factory in Birmingham was long gone with frames being built in Eastern Europe and Taiwan.

So, it is a Dawes, built to a Dawes design possibly, but not one built in the UK, ergo to me not a 'Real' Dawes YMMV

Still probably a nice bike tho'

A butchered Ashby track frame. The Cinelli 1R stem? is almost worth the price of entry.

Richard, I was referring to Discodans comment.

As soon as I saw the unicrown fork, I figured it was a later model, rather than the earlier 'Made in England' Dawes tourer that people gush about.

Don't worry I am sure he doesn't mean too many bikes only enough MYB's for now.

This side of divorce there is no such thing as too many bikes.

7402/7403 wheelset for only $140! I can't make out which one it is, but in any case it's cheap.
