Buying a Performer

I'm a little more than halfway sold on buying a Performer Toscana 700C. Can you order straight from Performer, or do you have to use one of their distributors (like A1, Natural Engine Speed Shop)?

I ordered two trikes direct from Performer. The contact there has always been very helpful. I had a couple of challenges because I wanted some non-standard specs but they have been responsive to deal with. I'm happy with the quality for the price.

Two things to be aware of:
- Make sure you are very clear in your emails because you are communicating with someone who has English as a second language or uses Asian English which is subtly different to Aussie English.
- Expect to pay 10%+ in GST and other duties. Customs can sometimes be slow, particularly if they decide to question the paperwork.

Cool. I sent them a message through their contact us page on the website a couple of days ago and haven't heard back. I'll try and track down an email. I'm a little loathe to order through a drop shipper.

You will pay GST and some other fee the name of which escapes me but which has been increased a bit recently..
As a new "Bicycle Complete" there will be no duty.
"Under Tariff Concession 0104891 (Tariff Code: 8712.00.00), duty is not charged for complete bicycles."

Just got a reply back from Christine (very quick!). The direct price quoted is pretty much the same as A1...

I will! I got on to him today. His name is also really familiar and it turns out he used to work at BRS. Canberra is a very small place... I'm going to have a go on an USS Toscana (20/26 is the only USS one he's got) next week.
