Lunchtime stroll
Postby Lots of steel bikes » Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:38 pm
A Frank Paino with nice lugs
A Nagasawa shod with shamals
A beaten up Tommasini. I want to rescue this one.
A columbus sl Kennedy with the ugliest stem ever.
A Gipiemme Sonic Boom with strange rear dropouts
Another Gipiemme without much rear wheel clearance.
A non remarkable Giant Kronos
Modern but nice Hillbrick
Nice bar streamers?

Good thread; you see some interesting stuff locked to poles/stands. I should carry a camera around more, (I hate phone-snapping).

I mostly see BSOs, but there's the occasional highlight, like the early Trek roadie that I see regularly.rangersac wrote:The bikes you find on your walk are a lot nicer than the ones I see.
And there's a MAMIL I see frequently, heading the opposite way as I ride to work, on a very nice Pinny.

I wonder if I'm seen as an OMIL, on my way to work? The Fixer wrote:I mostly see BSOs, but there's the occasional highlight, like the early Trek roadie that I see regularly.rangersac wrote:The bikes you find on your walk are a lot nicer than the ones I see.

I've also seen a Pinarello Montello and a Faggin chained to steel posts and rails. The Montello was pristine. The owner had put in a ridiculously low offer on the complete bike advertised on eBay in Europe and to his surprise the seller accepted the offer. He waited and waited and thought he had blown his money but two months later it turned up.

I too saw her on my afternoontea stroll today, she has very nice lugs, looks even better in the flesh than in the photos.Lots of steel bikes wrote: A Frank Paino with nice lugs

An Arabesque equipped Malvern Star with nice chrome. Pity about the bars.
