Went for a wander during lunch and found a few old bikes.

A Frank Paino with nice lugs






A Nagasawa shod with shamals




A beaten up Tommasini. I want to rescue this one.





A columbus sl Kennedy with the ugliest stem ever.





A Gipiemme Sonic Boom with strange rear dropouts




Another Gipiemme without much rear wheel clearance.



A non remarkable Giant Kronos

Re the Paino; something about late 80s/early 90s frames that appeals. Similar (same?) lugs as on my Keith Davis ('87). Those guys must have been accessing from same supplier for their higher-qual lugs. All 3 I've got are around that era. Just got a ~92ish Miyata Team Titanium in from StateSide. Out of action for another week-ish, (don't ask ). Am in process of swapping some stuff out. Pics later.

I mostly see BSOs, but there's the occasional highlight, like the early Trek roadie that I see regularly.

And there's a MAMIL I see frequently, heading the opposite way as I ride to work, on a very nice Pinny.

It's a great shame about the Tommasini. I first saw it about a year ago and met the owner. A really nice guy who actually appreciated what he was riding. He is a med student who brought the bike over from the US with him. He left his 'good' Tommasini back in the states.
I've also seen a Pinarello Montello and a Faggin chained to steel posts and rails. The Montello was pristine. The owner had put in a ridiculously low offer on the complete bike advertised on eBay in Europe and to his surprise the seller accepted the offer. He waited and waited and thought he had blown his money but two months later it turned up.
