Basque tour commentary on eurosport

So we get the leaders we deserve and we elect, we get the companies and the products that we ask for, right? And we have to ask for different things. – Paul Gilding
but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.

When he started on about Alberto Contador....I thought uh oh Matt Stevens shutting him up/putting him in his place was priceless "We're here to commentate a race' ..ouch
And saying the lone breakaway should stop to buy an ice cream...and wait for the peleton, seriously, honestly really
Sean Kelly, Magnus Backstedt where are you.....
Not the Giro with Carlton kirby for the love of.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Where's your sense of humour ?!
9/10ths of a bike race is like watching grass grow. CK is great for the odd laugh or two along the way and he gets really animated when it gets to the pointy end of the race.

I find Carlton's waffle quite amusing, although he gets a bit hysterical in the final.cyclotaur wrote:You're taking those comments seriously, honestly, really ?!Davidrnau wrote:When he started on about Alberto Contador....I thought uh oh Matt Stevens shutting him up/putting him in his place was priceless "We're here to commentate a race' ..ouch

But perhaps some would prefer the dreary monotone of Matt Keenan, or the tired platitudes of Liggert and Sherwin.
Magnus is also quite amusing, but Sean Kelly and Brian Smith do grate at times.
