G'day

Any decision on whether this ride is on or not?

Code: Select all

Sunday Shower or two. Min 4 Max 18
Latest forecast from today. So maybe not unless we shift to Saturday or the weather changes again which is highly probable.

Thanks for the forecasts. But besides predicting the weather what does it mean? :)

I think it means Saturday is a better day to run it than Sunday. Could be wrong though ... :)

Cheers,
Graeme

Warmer on Sunday :)

I am out if Saturday but that shouldn't be a big issue.

G'day

Crikey, Saturday or Sunday are now a go. If the weather is an issue how about 8:00 AM at the northern end of the Narrows as Graeme suggested Saturday August 29, 2008 and then ride to Fremantle.

Takers?

I'm willing to ride either day. At the moment, I'd prefer Saturday so I can join my regular ride on Sunday.

Cheers,
Graeme

Okay, can we make a confirmed decision to go Saturday?

Andrew,

You and I will be there on Saturday morning (30/08/08 ) and others can join us.

Let's say we'll meet at 8.00am at the SOUTHERN end of the Narrows bridge, in the car park underneath the bridge. I'll be wearing some sort of obscure royal blue jersey with a white left arm band, just in case people miss the yellow 'bent I'm on .... ;)

Andrew, do you want to meet up on the bike path and ride in together? If so, give me a time and place.

Cheers,
Graeme

Sounds good. I am assuming 45 minutes to get in, so say 7:15 AM at South Street?

Yep - see you there (on the bike path just north of South St - I go through the "officially-not-yet-opened" section these days.)

Okay, I am with you. So north of the lights, not at the lights themselves.

Thanks Graeme, Matty and Adam for a great ride out to Freo. I am all for making this a regular ride or at least a regular BNA ride, maybe once a month so we can also fit in our other group rides.

Regards
Andrew

Thanks guys, good ride!

Andrew, didn't realise you were Aushiker; were you after some PowerGrips at some stage? I still have them :D

Do you think we could have a stickie in the WA forum referencing the Meeting Point forums? I realise that this is the appropriate place, but me (and possibly other newbs) didn't get it first.

I am in Leederville and still have little idea about how to get round the city  , where is the meeting point and are there any obvious landmarks nearby?

Just hope my shoes posted from the UK turn up before Saturday (otherwise I take around a 43 if anyone is feeling generous!!)

Thanks,
JP
Hey JP,

If you're interested in one of these rides, let me know (drop me a PM); I past by Leederville on the way to the Narrow's Bridge.

I don't know about that. I'll ask the other mods what they think of the idea.

I always use the "View Posts since last visit" link on the right hand side of the first page of the forum, but I realise you will get a huge number of posts if you don't check for a week and you could miss it.

Cheers,
Graeme

Cheers for the ride today guys. As said above good company and coffee :)

I think a monthly ride is a good idea. We could even, god forbid, do an afternoon ride. That would be different
