Bent spoke

Postby Low Racer » Sat Aug 30, 2008 11:10 am

Hi all,
I noticed a slight kink on one of the spokes when I was trying to work out why my front wheel has gone slightly untrue. Must have got bent by road debris e.g. tree branch. I straighten it as much as I could with a pair of pliers. The wheel runs true now. What I am interested is do I need to change the spoke in question or it should be alright as the tension on it should have been relieved back to normal now.

Thanks

Chong

Personally, I'd replace it, but it still should maintain tension adequately as is.

Cheers,
Graeme
