Is there not anyone else in here? My bikes are disassembled and packed so I can't ride for the next few weeks.
At least one good thing about moving from WA, I'll have electricity and gas supplies!

Relocating.
Permanently this time though. Kev. There is only one BicycleWA.

Thanks, that is on the list when I ride down to Hobart. However the descent might wear out another set of brake pads. Kev. There is only one BicycleWA.
just found this. San Fransisco, the home of "hills". Go to the bottom, do a 180 and look up the hill. Would hate to be a messenger there.
Ever since the vasectomy...I mostly ride fixed.
How long were you in Kal for? It still feels like home to me ...
Cheers, Graeme Think outside the double triangle.

we where there for two years.....and its funny how Kal gets in to your blood i miss it in an odd way
... but no so hot for cycling, at least on the road ....
I knew so many people who returned to Kal after leaving for a while. I hope I don't become one of them. Cheers, Graeme Think outside the double triangle.

ah yes the lovely 46degree's i had out at Gindalbie was the hottest ever for me find you i could ride to work almost every day and know it was not going to rain.......and so would be off road its really funny when it was my missus that wanted to go home....is now the one who wants to go back
It's back for good for me. I just got an email from the local cycling club (NW) and they said membership costs a massive $1 (one) per year. That's a recreational riding group not a racing group. Couldn't see me racing Kev. There is only one BicycleWA.
Will do. Keep an eye out for an old codger on a green Mongoose Randonneur, with bright yellow panniers and an oversupply of water bottles I'll be around Burnie area, but will venture all the way around Tassie once I get settled. The bikes are packed, and the BOB trailer is packed. Just hope they make it OK. Kev. There is only one BicycleWA.
Pushing a 30K dial up connection. 5 kms east of Burnie and no net.
The bikes made it however the tourer sustained a bent rear derailleur. Complete lack of parts for bikes here. Still trying to locate some mudguards There is only one BicycleWA.
yep there's only the one bike shop down Burnie two in Devonport and one i Ulverstone(maybe as he was closing up)
KMart in Burnie seems well stocked. I finally found a larger version of the bell/compass that I have been looking for, for some time. Also got a new mirror
Also got some weird looks riding a loaded tourer up the Bass Hwy. I've still got the full water carrying rig attached to the bike Managed to max out a new high speed on this tourer at 86 k going down a big hill. I've got to get some warmer clothes though. Touring sandals with wool socks and over boots works better than MTB shoes. With no net, ordering parts is going to be a headache. Kev. There is only one BicycleWA.
It's good to see a couple of active BNA members in the NW of Tassie. I visit Burnie at least every 12 months for work and know the area pretty well. I really like it down there. Great riding when it isn't raining or the wind isn't blowing you off the bike
I saw a guy riding in the rain wearing a yellow rain coat on the Hwy just out of Burnie when I was down there in July. Could it have been one of you guys? ![]()
I did a bit of dirt bike riding (motorbike) in the forest around Winyard when I was there last year. Heaps of nice tracks and hill climbs hey. That clay is greasy when it's wet too ![]()
