Dubious provenance aside - those stickers just look a little bit too new, I actually quite like that colour scheme. It's even my size. But otherwise, yes... I do agree; way overpriced.

It does raise a question I've never thought about... strictly speaking on a forward sloping TT, you should still measure it as horizontal and Effective, surely. Wonder how the seller has done it? Or is it even sloping.... is it just the way frame is sitting, sans wheels.

Interesting looking frame. Wonder what a Moyes is. Apparently UK made. Anyone know?

That's some serious reinforcing around the tube junctions. Must've been for someone built like King Kong.

Umm, not sure what the comment means :?
but...
I have seen this bike in the flesh at a Tweed Run in Newcastle. Iain has basically taken an classic real (ie pre-Raleigh) Carlton frame, had it chromed and painted and assembled it with tastefully chosen (IMHO) modern-ish parts.
Looks very nice, price is possibly a bit on the rich side for me tho'

Lo-pro in Perth? Unknown frame, not going to identify it with one poor photo. Asking price seems a bit steep considering but maybe others can see something to justify?

Can't be too bad tubing, I guess.. those Miche Supertype posts despite being pretty heavy themselves I've only seen available in 27.0 & 27.2.

Fair enough, that is the kind of detective work I knew others could provide. Obviously lo-pro's are more likely to have been built for competition and high-end use (don't think K-mart were selling any back in the day =] ), it's just a shame someone has stripped it of it's heritage to create another boring Fakenago. And I just realised it is a proper track frame, not a road conversion so there's that. Too rich for me, it's a shame we'll probably never know more.

That did cross my mind also.
Not that I'm really in the market, but I would be dubious as to how any TT measurements are taken by sellers on these forward sloping TTs for these style of bikes, per my comment a few post back in this thread.

Malvern Star ATB-1 in very good condition. Mmmm, that slingshot stem gets my vote.

Eclipse 531 touring bike, vey overpriced. I can't help being irrationally annoyed that the bicycle was bought in Melbourne and is being sold in Queensland  Bring it back when you're done!

Don't know about the bike, but that paint!

Yep, nice bike. It hasn't strayed too far… only to hippy-land northern NSW. :P A bit Melbo-centric of you. But agreed, not much hippy lurv in the asking price.
And you notice it's a 'pushbike'. Maybe he didn't ride it there after all.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Super cheap Zipp 440 with a DA freewheel, and maybe hub too. Would get it myself, but not too keen on a tubular.

I just rebuilt a pair of these that I built up originally way back in about '93. They'd had a couple of owners since then.
