A Merida Race Lite? I'd strongly recommend. Exceeded my expectations by a margin - very sound quality. I can't speak for all models, but i'd jump for a Scultura or Reacto If the chance arose.

Only reason I parted ways with my Race Lite was to help me pay for a Knee Reconstruction, and now that I'm back on the bike I'm actively looking fo a replacment!.

As far as I know the 'Race Lite' series is no more. It was merged into the Scultura series after they shifted to carbon frames/expanded the frame series to something more simple rather than a mix and match between them all (Reacto, Scultura, Race Lite, Ride Lite etc). A few years ago the Race Lite series was basically a aluminum version of the carbon Scultura series.

Top Tier 'Race' (Race - Aggressive): Reacto
Middle Tier 'Race' (Race/Casual - Middle Ground): Scultura
Low Tier 'Tour' (Casual - Relaxed): Ride

No picture, but I did spot one guy in the city this afternoon on this quite arty looking Velorbis. Between the leather saddle and the rest, it almost looked far too good to ride in sometimes rubbish Sydney weather.

Not really my kind of bike, but certainly well out of the ordinary.

Retro frame, with nothing retro about the parts (except maybe the 6200 FD). New wheels being put together slowly, but it will ride with any Shimano 10 speed wheel. Just awaiting my replacement long front brake bolt and its good to go further afield.

The bar/5700 combo looks wacky, but rides pretty well:

Red frames. Should be more of them.
A friend of mine has a Red Giant and even it looks good.

Since losing 80kgs with the help of my lap band and cycling I have 2 bicycles, a Specialized Hardrock Disc Sport 29 and a Merida Crossway 100, best of both worlds.

Thanks for the comments. She rides real nice as well. No where near as uncomfortable as I thought she would be. I'm still dialing in my position but I'm pretty close.

I love the Celeste/black frame but when I first saw this carbon frame. I couldn't resist. I've tried to make up for it in the bar tape and chain.

i think a custom busyman saddle in celeste would be the icing.

Sidewalls on the tyres as well as the saddle, if possible. Fantastic bike, and definitely a Bianchi.

My humble opinion says in this case less celeste is actually more.

Stunning looking bicycle. :D

I know zilch about road bikes but that is stunning. Looks like HR Giger designed it. Especially that rear triangle.

That sounds like a great Father's Day gift!

In all honesty, I love the amount of Celeste on the bike right now. The selle San Marco aspide seat looks and more importantly feels good.

Here's a few more shots if anyone's interested.

TBH I've never been a fan of coloured sidewalls (excepts tanned walls on classic frames). Some saddles do look good though.
