Please mythical deity, I hope anyone who takes Stuey seriously fits into the small category of people who would look good in a clear plastic raincoatThe Fixer wrote:Stuey wrote:Would be cool to ride wearing only a clear plastic raincoat.

Ricardo Elite Sports
It was listed at $125 opening bid and $165 BIN and didn't sell. I emailed the seller to see if he would negotiate to which he replied that it was worth more and I was wrong, and then relisted it at $150/$200BIN!
I think it would make a nice roadie without the tri bars.
Is it any better than mid level?
The sticker says Tange but what sort of Tange would it be?

Intriguing .. old roadster lovingly updated to 70's pie plate / stem shifter / suicide lever spec.. who knows... sold for 74 bucks and there's no doubt about the bend at the front end of the top tube.Imwit wrote:Just checking..
this may well not be a speedwell, is probably prewar by the square head set and dropouts and has had a decent head on?

Can I use that?LugNut wrote:I owned one of those, same 'sun damaged' paint job but in baby blue. It was my first road bike. It's a later model than the bikes that came with Tange 900, one of the last of the Ricardos built in Australia. it's the same sort of lower end Tange as 900.
I really liked it, it rode nicely, although I always wished it was one of the earlier elites with the nice recognisable Elite decal, before they went all Tri-dork. Either that or the Elite SX, which was the model up at the time, and came with a really cool smokey fade paint job that looked like it had been made with a burning candle.
