After indulging in some fish and chips on the way home i pretty much fell asleep straight away. I was even falling asleep replying to facebook posts on the computer haha :P

Good ride guys. Nice to see old and new faces. It was a good fun ride. That lookout was definitely worth the hard effort. I might have to make a return when I have some fresh legs to have a proper go at it.

Soon - be patient

Anyhow there were plenty of highlights, including the descent of Moogerah to Mt Alford Rd, finding ourselves in the midst of a big bike race carnival at Mt Alford, the blindingly tough climb up Mt French, the Strada bianche near Boonah, or the rolling hills approaching Harrisville from the south.

Overall, the scenery was outstanding.
Thanks also to publican at Dugandan for allowing this vagrant looking cyclist to use the facilities, also various motorists who gave us wide berth.
Also to the driver who unwittingly blocked the path of the black dog that wanted to cross the road and rip our legs off. etc.

Thanks all and good to meet Lukeyboy, JasonC and Geoff

Did anyone notice a few of the motorists clapping and cheering us heading to Mt French?

I noticed on motorcycle rider give the thumbs up. When climbing Mt Alford or heading there I think it was a Subaru hatchback gave the toot toot toot before overtaking us. He had a spare bike on the back so they must have been the support vehicle for the breakaway :P

http://www.strava.com/routes/57847" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :P :P :P    Nah not all the climbs but just visiting the top of Mt Coot tha, Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious Alex Road, Mt Mee and either Clear Mountain or Mt Gravatt. imho Clear Mountain would be better as it avoids crossing the city. Would be in the 180km bracket IIRC from the last BNA ride which included Nebo, Glorious, Mt Mee and return to the city.

Edit: Said BNA Ride - http://www.strava.com/activities/80877341" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Clear Mountain before Mt Mee? Don't think those 20% pinches will go too well at the end of the ride!

As for that route you linked, have at it. I won't be coming!

Alex road is a small climb on the top of Mt Glorious. Me and Geoff just joke about it all the time whenever one of us goes up there but don't ride up Alex Road :P
