Happy as....

Postby gretaboy » Thu Apr 17, 2014 1:49 pm

I just got told today that I am going to be the lucky recipient of a HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS 26.

Sad part will be having to wait 4/5 weeks for it to turn up. This trike is going to get some serious road time.

Sorry couldnt help myself, just had to share my news

Sweet. The wait is the hardest part.

Haha, looks like I'm going to have to find some hills then when I come up to visit for a social ride ;)

Congrats, that's great news :D

Pics will come as soon as the trike is in my possession :)

I did a ride on the new Hunter expressway on a catrike villager last sunday and am excited about taking the scorpion out there, will be brilliant and so much faster than the catrike.

My new baby...nickname "Elvis". Pics taken on its first 70k outing. Little bit heavier than a Catrike Expedition but the ride quality craps all over the Expedition. Due to right hand issues it has a single left hand brake which controls both front disc brakes

Am one happy camper

Sweet! Looks like a recliner with wheels. Hope you ride the heck out of it.

Cool, looks like you could get that going along at a fair clip! Drink bottles a bit far away though?

That thing's looooowww. You'll need wings and grounds effects next! :D

At least I see you've got the antenna for communications back to the pits sorted. ;)

Lookin' good GB :-D

In my velomobile I use a hydration pack bladder which is hung from behind the seat. This may be a better option for you than a standard bottle anyway.

Thanks for clarifying, from the location I was fearing that it was for fluid out rather than fluid in :D

Hi gretaboy

sweet ride, if your seat is a tubular steel/aluminium construction you could use the same drink bottle solution I have on my KMX Viper. I use a Topeak Java cage (holds various size bottles) attached to cage mount that fastens to the seat frame which keeps my bottle in easy reach.
