Gold Coast - Group rides / routes?

Hi, this is my first my post in this forum.

I am coming to Surfers Paradise on June 23rd until 26th and have hired a road bike. Couldn't possibly survive a few days at a conference without riding!

Are there any group rides Mon-Weds - med/fast pace - ave 30-32kph? If not, can anyone recommend good, relatively safe routes for approx 1 hr from central Surfers Paradise and maybe a 2hr one if I'm feeling brave?

I cannot comment on any group rides but this route may be of interest to you, bike lanes most of the way
