Not the most pleasant commute but 29km on the SS in the rain is good for the soul. Saw a max of three other cyclists all morning.

Started out with a dry sky but started bucketing 5km from work. Warm though! Made for a nice change from the single figure temp's we've had lately.
p.s. Also only saw three cyclists. One in Toongabbie, one in Auburn (Ninja, wore black, no lights, crossed at the crossing on the red signal) and one in S.O.P.

Not a very good ninja if you saw him :D

Sadly I had to drive today. Got in early & beat the awful mess, not looking forward to the trip home - I would much rather be wet & moving on my bike than dry & stationary in the car.

Believe it or not I first saw him because he blocked out another light that was shining at me :)

I saw only about 5 people today on a 3hr ride on the M7. Was a nice and mild day where was everyone?? :-)

So no rain? It was raining where I live so did some shopping instead. Plus I did 60km yesterday. Those are my excuses. Well done for getting out there.

I was being sarcastic, it was bucketing down 8)

Supposed to be 30-50km/h winds tomorrow. So I'll be smashing some personal Strava records in one direction at least :P

I started early yesterday and it rained the whole time for me until the sun started shining about an hour after I got home  . While briefly on the M7 shoulder I spotted the one and only bike over my whole 90km ride on the cycleway. Sydney's getting soft  .

Man the swirling winds today were horrible. No respite from any direction of travel on the M7. Lots of pained faces today, but encouragingly there were heaps out today.

Wind wasn't problematic around SOP this morning, and only a wee sprinkle of rain. Very few cyclist about though. Bleak outlook must have kept the meek in bed.

I was out this morning on the m7 and the winds weren't too bad. I was more high tailing it home to beat the rain.

I was out around parra and the winds were fine but I did get a few sprinkles of rain. Most importantly, I got Mr Isabella24 out for the 2nd time this year.... There is hope yet.... :)

A bit cold this morning, but not too windy, it did warm up nicely. But this afternoon. Oh man....

I took a wrong turn at Lidcombe and had to go back the opposite direction down one road. I was doing 45km/h along that road with barely any pedaling. Going through Rookwood where my grandpa rests, I wondered if I might actually be joining him some time soon.

Thank god the car drivers gave me plenty of room, I think they could see how badly I was getting blown around by the cross winds. I stopped and walked - and then the winds were lifting the bike up while I was walking it along.

You're a better man than me g-boaf - I was meant to go for a ride this afternoon, looked at the wind & said "no thanks"

+1! After my experience in western sydney on Tuesday afternoon with the wind, I wimped out too. Hopefully it's not as bad for our ride tomorrow Bruce :-D

I went to Prestons and back to SOP and then on to Sydney airport to catch up with some old friends. Unfortunately I stayed too long and the weather caught me on the way back. It was the tough way to get 140km.

I did my usual M7 > guildford etc run and thought I would get a bit of a break from it heading home, but that was not the case.
I bloody froze so I put the "windproof" jacket on and steamed in that :)

Cold and beautiful this morning. The cold kept the fairweather riders in bed on the M7 this morning and it was as quiet as a tuesday. I must admit though, the area just after Sunnyholt Road where there are open paddocks on your left after crossing the Eastern Creek waterway was freezing, a noticeable drop in temperature which made me think of a warm bath and toast and tea. If they ever build houses there the owners better have deep pockets to pay for their heating bills.
