The City of Vincent as part their Bike Network Plan, they proposing major changes to the street environment along Oxford and Scarborough Beach roads and they invite all feedback until 23 June, 2014.
The changes will be to parking and street trees, and this may affect you or your property directly if you live in these areas:
Scarborough Beach Road > Oxford St to Charles St
(separated bike lanes – changes to traffic, trees and street parking out for comment)
Oxford Street > Vincent St to Scarborough Beach Rd
(on-road bike lanes – two options out for comment – changes to street parking and street trees)
There are TWO OPTIONS available on Oxford Street > they really want your input to help us decide which one is best. One minimises street parking lost, the other minimises street trees lost - both very important to Vincent.
Note: a third option was presented to Council but they voted against it as it involved removing the median strip (very dangerous for pedestrians crossing the busy road).
General comments on the overall Plan are also welcome until 23 June. Note that consultation has now closed for the Vincent and Bulwer Street works.

Isn't this a case of over consultation?
You have an approved Bike Plan, get on with implementing it.
Even the areas being considered are Option A (loss of 24 car bays etc) or Option B (Loss of 52 car bays etc). The feedback from is 'I support or don't support this proposal', so are they really asking which Option should be implemented?

I just filled in the feedback form and put "Option B" in the further comments box.
