A friend has one and I used it to service his bike. Frankly, it was disappointing. My Spin Doctor was a lot more expensive but a pleasure to use.

For the coin, the Aldi stand is terrific. No doubt a Park Tool stand would be better, but also much pricier...

I've only time I've had an issue with the non-QR clamps slipping is when clamping the full-sus MTB on an odd angle to get the rear brake line as close to vertical as possible for bleeding- never a problem with the roadie.

Being steel and a four-leg design, it's very stable - but not super portable due to weight. Still packs up small enough to go into the car if you want to take it to races etc though.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe

The only thing I have about the Aldi stand is the clamps inability to hold an unbalanced load at a specific angle but seeing as I bought it solely to sit on my locker at work just in case I can live with it for so few dollars.

Agree with this. I need to get a BB/fork stand and a better workstand.

I have the Tacx stand and it's great, but sometimes I do find it a bit of a chore to remove wheel and then to fit it onto the stand. Especially if attaching by the forks due to lawyer's lips and actually having to unscrew the quick release on both wheel and workstand. Just my 2cents, for fork/BB stand vs seatpost stand.

Probably need another thread about stands rather than clogging this one up. This thread is about specials.

Got an email from PBK with a mystery discount code of up to 20%. Went to their website and tested it, 20% discount but then I noticed the prices of stuff I was looking at earlier in the are now........15-20% more expensive. What a coincidence.

They are in the UK, what is ACCC going to do? I'm logged in and it says shipping to Australia.

Fair call. I didn't know they were still completely in the UK, website is deceptive ;)

Stuff em. I find their range to be awful and their prices don't justify the poor range.

Damn, my discount was only 12% :(

If anyone has a 20% that they're not going to use please let me know, as I'm looking to pick up some ortlieb back roller plus panniers from there today or tomorrow. I had ordered them from bike24, who informed me after I'd placed the order that they're no longer allowed to ship Ortlieb to Australia.

[edit] Got one, thanks neild!
