Defy Comp 3 2013 vs 2014
Postby billy70 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 8:08 am
Are there any differences in the frames or forks from the 2013 to 2014 Defy Composite 3? I expect that the Tiagra group set is a newer version, but are there any pertinent differences?

Probably just different paint jobs - I'm not sure the Tiagra groupset changed at all between 2013>2014.

A quick check of the Giant site shows the only difference apparent as the 2014 bike with 12-30t cassette vs 2013 with 11-28t cassette. I reckon the 2014 is a nicer colour, but there would be no reason to not purchase the 2013 model if it was a cheaper price!

There is no difference between the two other than the paint.
I had a thought, but it got run over as it crossed my mind.

Awesome - thank you all for the great advice. Interestingly, I was asking because I actually (strongly) prefer the 2013 paint job and was wondering if I would be giving up much in terms of specifications. I hope I can get a reasonable price now!
Cheers.
