Well an interesting start to my ride this morning. I was being pulled for a RBT stop when the you police officer saw that I was a cyclist and says.... Sorry mate, keep going I though you were a motor bike, that's a good light.

I broke the ride up into 3 parts as I wanted to see what my averages were for each section.

Bloody windy so that made the ride a wee bit harder, plus the fact that I went with the harder ride. :)

Thanks SS. :)

Well this mornings ride was a tad harder again. Wind, young blokes, pain, hurt and what do you have, a bloody good ride that's what. Cut my losses earlier than I would have though. I skipped the extra 25klms in the name of common sense as two hard rides in two days can do more damage than good when unfit like me.

Just a little and the younger blokes in the bunch are noticing to, SS. Mind you, I'm a long way off hurting them power wise but if I'm there for a sprint they know about me.

Bunch ride completed also. :)

A bit of a drab morning and only half the riders turned up, sooks! :( Just ambled around at 25kmh but spun most of the way, so still got a good workout. :D

Twas nipple erectus this morning. Sadly, the normal bunch ride of a Friday was not happening. :(

Warmer this morning but with some rain around. Lucky for us, we were on the opposite side of the Island when it fell. :)

Nothing flash but a good spin ride for the day. :D

The happy dance ride this morning. This was run at a nice fast pace (well for me) with a couple of the youngins keeping it going. :D

Temp was cool but very good for riding and a sneaky wind that chased us around. :)

It was also interesting riding in the dark at speed with these blokes, glad my reflexes are still pretty sharp.

I would think at least another 1-2yrs Bruce, I don't have any strength in my legs yet and I don't plan on doing serious strength work till next year. I am just concentrating on getting them spinning and spreading the blood vessels/capillaries through the muscles.

Well a cool sunny and with a sneaky breeze to add a little bit more hurt to the fat bastard. Still it was a good riding weather for those serious about having a crack.

One of the blokes had a tyre blow off the rim beside me this morning  (a Bonatrager) a good thing we were going in a straight line and not hooking in around a bend or it would have been nasty.

Surprising how far the legs have come since I have been able to hook up to, the two and sometimes three bunch rides. :D To see a peak of 52kmh gives me some heart for the future for my come back to Track racing and this was achieved on the flat, so more than happy with that. :)

Nasty. With those speeds coming up you're going to have to ride some hills before too long you know :) .

Yeah mate I know, the hills will start next year. I just need to make sure that I have the blood getting into the muscles on a wide scale before the hurtfest.

Not Bribie but down Capalaba way this morning. I meet up with my old 6 Day partner for a ride and another old friend from back in the racing days turned up. I have not seen this bloke since about 1983  but you know what, we just picked up as though we only saw each other last week! 8)

The last time I rode up the Gateway, I was in a whole lot of hurt  but this morning I was two gears higher and did it easy. 8) I look forward to more improvement in the future and being able too ride it another two gears higher.
