damn, was hoping you'd still have that Vertex track for when I actually had money to buy it. My brother technically owns my TT, I'll pay him back one day...munga wrote:i am officially repco-free. not sure how i feel about that. maybe i'll buy an olympic 12 to rat around on.

Ha ha sorry, my habit is not actually selling them Having said that I don't think I have ever had a Superlite or a Vertex, just many Eurosports and the odd Victory and Olympic.Equip_Pro2 wrote:What do you have, any vertex's or fluro superlites for sale?
I used to see one of those fluoro Superlites parked near my work often, then one day it had a wheel stolen, then within a couple of weeks it was trashed. I had thought of putting a note on it to make the guy an offer but he might have thought I stole the wheel

56. If it was a 55 if might be keeping it, but as it is it's a tad too big for me. It's a nice bike, got it from another forum member when I moved cities and needed a bike quick. Only one owner before him, all original parts except tyres and tape. I can post some pics tomorrow.piledhigher wrote:Make it a 55 pleaseyugyug wrote:Actually not fluro really, but bright tri color

Had the catalogue page on my phone. Topmost bike. Some of the parts like the wheels are 1991 spec.

All original parts except tyres and tape I believe. And it has a 28 on the back which is bigger than spec. Some bits like the rims and saddle are the 1991 spec so ill post the catalog pages for that superlite below. So it's kind of and in between year model in that sense which I feel justifies the white bar tape, but I have a roll of the classic 80s marble print tape as per the cat image from 1990. If ur interested pm me an offer, though best if local to Adelaide.
And here is the 1990 catalog pic again cos it looks like it uploaded a bit low res

Speaking of half/half model year bikes, did anyone see the Victory that sold on ebay recently, black with blue splatter? I had never seen that colour before, although it does go along with the fuchsia splatter LE colour the '88 Eurosport had. I was very interested that it was a '88 do and decals but appeared to be all '89 spec parts (which I consider not as good actually). I assume the Shimano bits were starting to get too expensive by early '89. I was actually quite interested in buying it, but the frame and forks showed tell tail signs of a front end hit.yugyug wrote:All original parts except tyres and tape I believe. here's some pics of mine for reference

I think that might be the same one that was listed in Thornlie a couple of times for $450 and $500. Same tri-bars, missing decals, equally as rubbish photos so can't be certain. Original seller wouldn't budge on price. Hope the new owner turns up on here.Equip_Pro2 wrote:Sold over the weekend. I contacted the buyer to enquire about it.munga wrote:vertex tt for $450

Thanks to munga, who emailed a certain G Leech & asked the question. Who made the damn Vertex bikes that had your signature attached?
Here's the reply--
from the horses mouth.

Hi ########,
They were from Repco & haven't been produced since the 90's.
I raced on there carbon one & it went well.
Cheers Guy

So my question is - being a repco bike - is it actually a vertex, or of vertex quality but in aluminium, or just a dime a dozen repco frame with a fancy decals for Guy? Is it worth picking up?
Cheers
