Ooh I like that. A bit big for me though (it doesn't look like 25.5" though). That and it's not in Queensland.LugNut wrote: 531 Hillman Touring bike with rattle can patina.

Joe Cosgrove in Brisbane still does minor frame repairs i believe, and there wouldn't be many people unaware of his skills with paint.LugNut wrote:
Does anyone have a ballpark figure to get a frame painted in that early-mid 80s Japanese two tone like the Shoguns above? And to add frame braze ons?
Also does anybody know wheeerree in Aus?
I just found Paconi's website and it seems they do still do frame painting. Might call 'em if I find something.

Aha, now it all makes sense. Agree, poor guy. That's the one of the risks with online buying, we all have to trust that the seller is the actual owner. Photos are still a bit random thoughLugNut wrote:read part 1 first and it makes more sense!feelthewheel wrote:What the ...?

Poor guy. I don't doubt the story. The cash converters business model is criminal.

There's no charge for listings that don't sell.duncan16v wrote:I was wondering if that was the same geezer. With a bit of luck, his eBay listing fees will exceed his potential profits.

seller has had a few bikes for sale and in same condition, i like to see their feedback so as to get an idea of what they usually sell, and seller has sold some nice bikes and has received good seller feedback.rkelsen wrote:That's a clean & original example Mark. Looks like it had minimal use and has been stored indoors for most of its life. Probably one of the last ones made in Japan. Good find.
i would love to purchase this bike. but im married now

Looked like very interesting lugs, appears to have a cyclo shifter (or similar) and paint in nice condition. Hopefully somebody here purchased and can post up some detailed photos. If it had been near me, I would have bought it.Imwit wrote:Somebody did.
